(This review is of Black Cauldron, the new sister club of Casa Diablo. I submitted the info to TUSCL last week so they could add this club, but haven't gotten any response yet, so I'll post the review here until the new club is listed. This place looks really creepy and run down from the outside, but they did a great job remodeling the inside to look sort of like a castle with fake stone walls and several different rooms. You have to pay a cover charge at the entry, but the girl behind the counter was topless, so it makes the cover charge at least more entertaining. Once you walk in you're facing a pretty large bar area. Drinks are more expensive here than most Portland clubs; I got a pint of micro brew for $6. After you leave the bar you enter the main stage area. Like Casa Diablo, there is one big center stage split into two separate sections so two girls could be dancing at either end. Connecting the two sides of the stage is a large circular platform covered in plush white fur, sort of like a big round bed where the girls can squirm around. I assume this is where the 2-girl "sex shows" take place, since Casa is known for lots of lesbian interaction between dancers, though I didn't see any of that action on this visit. There are plenty of seats surrounding the rack, and lots of tables and booth seating around the perimeter of the room. Dancer quality was pretty good for a Sunday night with girls ranging from petite spinners to MILFs to Amazons. Mostly natural bodies and a few tats, but nothing extreme like some other Portland clubs. After watching the whole rotation of dancers I picked a hot young spinner for some lap dances. Like Casa Diablo, dances at Black Cauldron are $40 for 1 song or 3 for $100 which is about the spendiest in town. The dance area is pretty private with large "thrones" separated by thin curtains, so only the seat directly across from you can see anything. I took my chances with the 3 songs and glad I did. This night we had the whole area to ourselves and I thoroughly enjoyed her hot young body.

The restroom was modern upscale and spotless inside which is an unusual surprise for Portland clubs. Another nice touch was that they had several space heaters in various places around the club, including the lap dance area, so it was nice and toasty throughout the place even though it was freezing outside. Overall I was impressed and plan to go back.
