I will stand by my last...

I will stand by my last review of OTB when I say the club is hit or miss. However, I believe this trip was more of a hit than a miss, partly due to a different strategy: Going earlier.

Granted, it wasn't like I planned it that way. Some scheduling changes in my life have me getting out later less, so an 8 p.m. arrival was about the latest I could do this time. But for just a two-hour visit, I had a pretty good time.

Part of what worked about the strategy was that, when I got there, I basically had the pick of the litter. The club has a large, semi-circular bar that faces a circular-ish stage, with two rows of seating plus an aisle in front of it for those more stage-focused. Then there's the main stage, which is linear and forms kind of an exclamation point with the circular stage if you could look at it from above. Two rows of seating on both sides of that with an aisle in between the rows and VIP sections on the left and right of those, with a bar in the one on the "left".
