I got a bad report from a TUSCL buddy that his visit to Follies Yesterday, 1/3/14, was spoiled by the City of Chamblee making it's authority known. So I decided to do some recon at other clubs.

My first stop was Oasis. I knew a girl that worked there. I arrived at 1PM and took a seat at the bar. Got a coke for $3.75. Nothing had changed physically since my last visit a year ago. The place was really quiet. About a dozen dancers working and not many more customers. No dancers were on stage for the first 15 minutes. They were all sitting with regulars. Mostly white dancers. Maybe about 3 blacks. All in the 6-8 range.

My friend found me and we got caught up. Then she began to tell me about the club. They are still fighting the City of Doraville over the clubs status. So once a week on Fridays they provide entertainment of a non naked dancer variety. Yesterday was gown day. The girls no long have to have a DeKalb county license that costs $300/year. They can get one from the city for $25 but nobody is checking for them. Dancers out on the floor are tame in case the city is watching but VIP dances are whatever the dancers rules are. They have 3 tiers of VIP rooms, starting at $25 for 30 minutes. Club requires the dancers to charge a minimum of $150 for 30 minutes but some are asking $200.
