Camelot is a pleasant, if somewhat sterile, place to pass the time with lovely ladies. As a DC resident, I'm familiar with the Puritan-inspired rules (no contact allowed). With properly-calibrated expectations, Camelot offers attractive dancers in a quiet, dark setting, perfect for the liquid lunch I was digesting.
The club itself is a long, narrow rectangle with tables along both walls and a small (6 seat) bar in the back. The stage is small but well-lit. There's a second floor, but it was closed on day shift. Five dancers rotated through three-song sets, getting naked on the third song. Dancers were Caucasian, slender, and attractive; the only diversity on this day was a beautiful Asian dancer in the mix. Clientele was mainly suits and ties. Not much tipping at the stage; dancers circulated for tips after their set. Girls were polite, but quickly moved on from rookie PLs like me to what appeared to be regulars. With no "extras" allowed, I was not surprised to note that the girls followed the money and hung out with the big tippers.
Physically, the club is in nice shape. The décor looks unchanged since the 70s, giving off a "Steak & Ale" vibe with fake stained glass and fake shields. Still, it appears well managed, and service was excellent. Overall, it's easy to blend into the (fake) woodwork and soak up the alcohol with eye candy. This visit was exactly what I bargained for.
