It was the last Friday of 2013 when I found myself in Irvington and, having read of the fun to be had at Vic's I decided to stop and check the place out for myself. Parking is a bit of a challenge, especially if you don't want to have to walk for a block or two through this less-than-posh neighborhood, but I managed to find a spot only 100 yards or so from the front door of the club, under a streetlamp that would illuminate my car after the sun went down.
Upon entering the club, I was patted down and surrendered $5 for the cover charge, then squeezed past patrons and dancers as I made my way to the bar, where I paid $4 for a coke. As I got took in the lay of the land, I saw that the stage, where three African-American dancers twerked, was in the center of the bar, with the patrons squeezed in on three sides, seated on stools at the bar or lining the walls, with girls grinding on them.
I took up my position against the wall on the far side of the bar, dancers started coming by to see if I wanted a dance. The first girl was short and thick and she backed up against me and set to grinding for a few songs, with my hands roaming all over her and reaching beneath her bikini. After she was done, I tried to give her $10, as others here have said is the usual fee for a dance, but she told me that it was $20 so, to avoid a scene, I went ahead and paid her. After all, I got more from her than I ever have for $20 at any other club.
