The big news at the Northern is that they will be extending their hours in a few weeks. North Dakota passed a law that allows bars to stay open until 2 AM instead of closing at 1 AM if the city they are in makes the change. Fargo has passed the change in ordinance. So starting August 1st, the Northern will stay open until 2 AM Monday through Saturday. Start times will remain the same.

The DJ on Friday night also said that they are planning other changes and recommended watching the website.

I stopped in about 10:30 on Friday, July 8th. The place was not close to full when I came in. I don't know how busy it was earlier that night. Several bachelor parties came in after I got there. Three bachelors got a chance to have a dancer make them look foolish. It seems like they have expanded the special occasion dances for grooms, birthdays or any reason. One guy got put up on stage for revenge.
