As a matter of full disclosure, this review is from a few weeks ago. Additionally, I have never really been a fan of Spearmint Rhino clubs, but I decided to try out Monarchs for the first time to try something different.

On the face of it, their Monday special is a great deal. Entry, first dance, and first drink are all covered by $16 at the door. However, the reason for this deal is that they are essentially begging people to come in the door. The club is physically nice inside but incredibly small with very awkward seating. The only chairs and small tables available are basically on top of the stage, and their are some huge booths available for groups, but many of those have their view blocked by pillars or at inconvenient angles that require a lot of neck turning.

At 8 PM on a Monday evening, there were about four other customers there and about as many dancers. As per usual at a Spearmint Rhino brand club, there are about 4 or 5 dudes in suits running around and acting important in order to distract you from the naked women on stage.
