Let me start by stating that I've visited the Inner Room Cabaret in Cocoa Beach multiple times over the last 20 years or so and have generally enjoyed myself. I can remember the good old days of the $6 lap dance...no mileage, but a great value for a lap dance.

Unfortunately, the protestations on their website of "...recent renovations..." and setting a "...new standard..." was not supported during my visit on 12/29/13. Let me put in an upfront caveat - I may have visited the club on an "off" day (Sunday during a Holiday period) - but to be blunt, my experience was at best dismal.

Club Facilities: First let me state up-front that I'm a "former" smoker of two packs a day of coffin nails, so I might be a bit sensitive to the odor of smoke...but the Inner Room Cabaret literally stank like a badly aged cigar. It was breathing through an ash tray - truly offensive. Based on their claims of being an "upscale" club, there is no valid reason for this odoriferous assault on ones senses before you've even had a chance to have a drink. The facilities have not changed - despite their claims of renovations. They now have two doors, but the only one I saw in use was the back door. The stage, the seating, the bar, the DJ booth...everything was the same since my last visit in 2008. Yes, there was the odd splash of paint - most noticeable on the outside of the rear entrance. The bench seating for lap dances is located on the outside walls of the club and although the lighting was turned down, there really is very little privacy. The one upside was that the Men's restroom did not have the smell of day old vomit and you could actually wash your hands without fear of getting an infection. Finally, this is actually a rather small facility - in the past, it could get very crowded...standing room only.
