I visited Rick's NYC a week ago, on Friday. Arrived around 6:00 pm. I work in NYC, so this is a club I pop into occasionally after work on Thursdays and Fridays, and in my experience it's pretty consistent. No cover before 7pm. Drinks are $8 until 8pm. After that, I think it's ~$12 a beer.

Mandatory coat/bag check. No charge, though I tip a few bucks on the way out. This club has three floors, ground floor is the main floor. Steakhouse and champagne rooms on the second floor, and an outdoor deck on third floor.

Main floor is where most everyone spends their time. Long rectangular room with a raised circular stage at one end, a bar that runs along one of the long sides of the room, and a small satellite stage with a pole near the bar. The satellite stage is right next to a support column, so the girls don't have enough room to do neat pole tricks. They basically twirl around the pole or dance against it. Unfortunate part about the setup is that if you're sitting at the bar, the main stage is far enough away that it's hard to watch the show. Viewing angles from the bar are also poor. Anyway, this club is less about focusing on the main stage and more about hanging out at the bar, or at your table, and talking to the dancers. As is the case with all the NYC clubs I've been to. Also, NYC dancers tend to mostly sway on stage so you aren't missing much.
