ok - after all the great...
ok - after all the great reviews of the Mardi Gras I decided to take a detour there on my way home from a trip to NY state. It was very easy to find and I got there about 6 pm on a Sun nite. I didn't have to pay a cover so I went right in and prepared myself for a great evening. As I walked in I saw one of the prettiest ladies I have seen at a club in awhile. The place seemed crowded so I walked around the bar to get a seat at the bar. Now be warned-not all the seats at the bar will get you some action as the runways don't go near all the seats esp around the corners. Anyway the street side end was pretty full so I went around to the back of the bar. All those seats were either taken or had drinks in front of them. I sat down at a seat along the back wall waiting for a seat to open up. After about 10 minutes I hadn't seen a waitress so I went to the bar and got myself a drink. (definitely a downer). Now here is my observation. There are about 20 or so seats along the back of the bar. At least 10-12 of them were occupied by dancers either talking to themselves or to a gentleman they must have known. So I sat down and waited..and waited..and waited. After about 30 minutes none of the seats occupied by the dancers or their friends went vacant. All the dancers that came off went right to people they knew. So not being able to get any of the dancers on the stage for a look for a tip or to get any of the others attention for a LP I just left. It cost me 4 bucks for a beer and I was not relieved of any of the dollar bills I had for tips of LD's. It seems that unless you are a reg and know a girl you won't get any attention. MEMO to owners...the ladies should be walking around paying attention to all the customers not occupying seats intended for paying customers.
