I've driven by the Paramount so many times I can't count. Always wondered how the old theatre had been updated as a Gentlemen's Club. Had a free evening (a Tuesday) so dropped in. $5 cover seemed OK. The doorman explained to me that no alcohol was served. Hmmm... OK, I thought.... worth a try. Note that if you need to liquor up there is a large pub next door. The place was pretty quiet as it was only about 7PM. Nevertheless, there was a steady stream of ladies. And very attractive ones. I've been to about 20-30 strip clubs and these were pretty good... a solid 8/10 in terms of beauty and talent. It's interesting to note that all dancers here are regular, exclusive and have to take and pass a pole-dancing course! I love quality control. After the obligatory 3-song, strip to nothing dance, the dancers disappear for a few minutes to freshen up. sometimes in the midst of a dance they will switch from the small, central stage to the large, main stage (think old-time theater with a real stage). Once the girls freshen up they will walk through the crowd. Some are more aggressive than others about asking for private dances but it's all pretty low key. Some just walk through and sit at the back in sofas.

Private dances are $20 per song. Of course the dancers encourage you to buy them drinks at $5. Each drink earns you a ticket. At some point in the evening a ticket is drawn and the winner gets a free private dance. I even won the night I was there!

Private dances are on clean, semi-screened sofas. no deliberate touching by patrons, but girls can touch. and of course there is the occasional accidental touch.

More extended dances can be had for $100, $200 or $300 for 15, 30 or 60 minutes. These are provided in an upstairs lounge. The original, old balcony, in fact. It's dim but it's fun to watch other girls working on other guys at the same time as your lady is dancing for you. Same restrictions (eye in the sky camera to check) as the main room. But my lady gave good advice where to place my hands for those non-visible touches.

Quite satisfying. Would be great with alcohol, though!
