I had some house company that was becoming a little overbearing / tedious a few weeks back, so I decided a little night on the town (solo) was warranted and Guau Guau's was obviously on my list. The city had just finished paving 13th street, so I drove my car down and parked directly in front of the club. Previously (for at least a few months), the entire area looked like bombed out Baghdad because they had literally ripped out all the asphalt / cement for repairs, which turned the people who work in the area even more desperate for $$$. Needless to say, I was welcomed with open arms and smiles everywhere I went.

Guau Guau's had actually just received an interior facelift too because it was the annual Biker's Rally the week prior, so I'm happy to report they got all new sofas, lap dance chairs and even upgraded their "games room" including a new (or refurbished) pool table. As such, this club is now a 6-6.5 physically on my scale -- somewhere between mildly shabby and comfortable.

Unfortunately, my main mesero (little Arturo) has moved further South with his girlfriend, so I went with the tall chubby waiter who likes to pretend he's gay -- he's not, but he thinks that's funny for some mysterious reason. I call him "Goalie" because he is the goalkeeper for his indoor soccer team and don't know his actual name. I decided to go with straight Clamato juice (after pounding some vodkas at another place with excellent live music), and Goalie makes a pretty mean virgin Caesar for sure.
