I had been to the Red...
I had been to the Red Carpet several times, but haven't seen the place in about 4 years. They made changes!?! The pool table is gone and the front of the club (left of the entrance) is now "VIP" dance cubicles. The privacy is not great, and the space is a bit tight, but maybe it is nice to have a place for more private encounters (and more expensive - they charge extra). The dancers still offer table dances and the "hands off" policy still applies out in the common area.
Beer is still reasonable, waitresses still come by to check on your needs every 2.3 minutes, and dancers still use a machine behind the stage to play tunes during the afternoon. I was told that a DJ does come in to do nights but I left about 7pm, before the DJ showed up. Stage dancing still varies from entertaining down to terrible.
There were only three dancers and two customers at the bar when I walked in about 5pm (an hour after opening), several more did arrive later. I got a beer from the bar and one of the dancers said, "Hi" and started up a conversation. When I said I hadn't been there since before the remodel, she gave me a tour (three steps from the bar to the "VIP" and three steps back to the bar!) We talked for about 15 minutes then the bartender got her attention and nodded at the stage. This 6/10 dancer excused herself to go dance and I realized that she never once said, "wanna' dance" or anything like it.
