Stopped by when it should have...
Stopped by when it should have been their prime time: late Saturday night. But there wasn't much going on. About 10-12 customers, some playing pool. One dancer on stage and she was carrying some extra weight. Had a decent, saucy attitude but I can't take the extra weight. I looked around to see what other talent there was in the club and either they were out getting a smoke or they consisted of the two haggard looking girls that were sitting at a table and at the bar.
The club itself is much bigger and open than before. It is still being remodeled so there seemed to be the unfinished, bare cement look in much of the club. I wanted to see first-hand what is this thing with having to paint the windows. Just off the main door onto "O" Street is the inside door into the club. There was no cover charge. I couldn't figure out whether the expansion has already been done or whether it will take place soon. There is a property next door to the east, but it looks like it is already occupied. As it stands, there is little to recommend this club.
There used to be some trashy and naughty girls years ago, but now the vibe is just trashy. I think the only way to have some fun is to walk in tanked. There was no talent that appealed to me and I certainly had no intention of doing a private dance. Lincoln has always had tight restrictions on roaming hands. This is one of those clubs where you spend most of your time being bored or disgusted and you just walk out, which I did. The "warm-up" period would have taken a long time, a wad of money, and the payoff looked very slim. I parked in the gravel lot on the east side, and there was a shady car sitting behind the club in the alley and then it pulled into the parking lot and just sat there with the engine running. Three or four guys, but I couldn't figure out what they were up to. A dreary, odd, non-erotic experience. But at least they are remodeling, huh?
