With a little time on my hands after running errands near Bunker Hill I thought I'd stop in for a beer and pizza and show at Vixens. That was an expensive slice of pizza and beer. I got talked into my first shower show. A few of my friends had been in during the evening shift and always raved about the shower show - they were probably drunk out of their minds. For $150 you get 20 minutes with two dancers (and a bouncer) in the shower room. You also get a drink voucher. Essentially you pay your money and then enjoy your drink for 15-20 minutes while the water heats up. During this time it's a good idea to get a lot of ones ($1). The bouncer calls when things are ready and you go into a room which is has a tiled back shower area with two free hanging showerheads. Then the upsale begins. You 'get' to try out a series of games to win a few dances. Games are things like tossing crumpled up $1s into a cup the entertainers are holding around various parts, you can also put down more $$$ on places of one dancer to make the other dancer 'pay attention' to that area. Essentially if you pay enough $$$ you also win a wet dance. The upsale is that the entertainers usually get away with more than a traditional champagne experience (no camera in the shower room), but this was not the case as the bouncer stood within arms reach the whole time (surfing the internet on his phone). Since it felt odd getting a dance with a big beefy guy wheezing and texting 2 feet from me, I would probably not repeat. Just a heads up in case anyone is thinking about the shower thing; private dances are probably a better bet. I'm guessing the shower thing is more fun with a group of friends competing with the $1 games.
