Been to PoP three times in...
Been to PoP three times in last month; tonight was BAD (read on) but I plan to give it one more shot. Every time the dancers outnumbered the patrons, or at best it was a toss-up. Good variety of dancers: petite/bigger, white/black, blond/brunette, etc. with so few patrons I end up "courtesy tipping" girls I wouldn't normally focus on; maybe I'm too nice a guy, but the tip bank is not unlimited so this takes tips away from the girls who are more my type. So the time before tonight there was a new dancer, definitely my type, who sat with me and we had a great conversation. I bought her a couple drinks, enjoyed her dances, and even bought a private because with a slow night I knew she wasn't making much money. She'd planned to be back tonight but wasn't; disappointing but I'd guess from the lack of customers she's already moved on.
So I'm one of four guys there before 10pm on a Saturday, and one girl did a whole set with no tips; she didn't even show for half of first song, and then was so not into it that I didn't even break out the courtesy tips. She comes over and plops down next to me after the set and doesn't say a word for a whole song, just stares into space (no I don't think she wuss high), then turns to me and asks if I can take her someplace to buy a pack of cigarettes. Really? Best case scenario is I'm going to get propositioned by a woman I don't find attractive, and more likely I'm going to get robbed. I told her I'd buy her a pack from the machine in the club, which led to bitching about the high price and not having her brand. When she came back over with the cigs I politely said "I don't smoke, and would rather you not sit and smoke at my table." She comes back over after a second tipless set and says "you bought me cigs, I want to dance for you" and proceeds to dance; I offered no interaction, and when I could I jumped to the stage to enjoy that show, hoping the first girl would go away. And she did, until later when she was leaving and comes to the table in street clothes demanding payment for the dances! I refused, told her I thought I'd been pretty clear that I wasn't into her and that I had neither asked for the dances nor participated.
A second girl sits down at my table, smoking but a little more my type, and starts asking me questions about the club, the private dance setup, etc. says she's auditioning but has stripped before at other places. Out of the blue she asks if I'll buy her a drink to help her nerves, so what the hell, I do. She's called to dance, I move to the stage, and she focuses most of her attention on a guy who came in right after her; I'm pretty sure they were together. Guess he didn't have $8 for her drink.
