There are 16 strip clubs on the Illinois side of the Mississippi river across from St. Louis. You will not find any clubs in Missouri other than a scattering of bikini bars, pasties, and otherwise bad venues scattered throughout the state. Penthouse is one of the first clubs you will get to from St. Louis, immediately after you cross the bridge so it's easy access from downtown. It's also known as generally having good looking women, many young 18- 25 with a scattering of older dancers.

It's also the only club where you won't see a naked pussy as they never go nude and unlike PT's next door, they won't peel aside the panties for a look. Entry fee required which gives you a pass to other PT's clubs in the area, $6 during the day and $12 and above for evenings, weekends, etc. Drinks are among the highest of all clubs with $7.50 for a domestic beer at my last visit.

Nothing is cheap here. Private dances are $40 - $50, with many doing a 3 for $100 with a $5 entry fee. Many dancers will then ask you for a tip or help with the $5 per dance they're charged by the club for each dance when they leave the private area. There is a room you can rent for $450/hour but nothing by the half hour like PT's so it's all or nothing. Dancers here are like everywhere. Some give extra treatment for no extra money, some do it only with certain customers, some advertise that it's available at an extra cost. I've never been bothered by staff while with a dancer in the private area so I can see where anything can go. You can smoke inside, including cigars, which I like as it's not allowed in most clubs other than the PT chain so I imagine they're paying someone off so the authorities look the other way.
