Stop into Goldrush Showbar for my first time ever on a Wednesday evening much to a delightful surprise. I learned they just remodeled the place recently which IMHO looks great with plenty of seating and a couple of nice big bars, one of which they dance on. There are two pool tables off to the left side. The seating is composed of high chairs around high table tops, low chairs around the stage, and a couple of large couches. The VIP rooms are nicely tucked away and secluded.

The atmosphere is very laid back and the music is not all hip hop as the DJ will mix in current pop songs. Better yet, he keeps the sound level down which keeps all of us sane! Plus this is good as we can have good conversations with dancers instead of just nodding our heads like we hear you when we never do! Goldrush is a larger and wide open place than most, so it tends to look empty. This all helps because the smoke in there is virtually non-existent. When I left after 2 ½ hours, I didn’t smell like I do after leaving other places. The drink prices are very reasonable. Self-parking is only $2. Admission is $10 at night.

During this evening the girls were mostly AA and the ones I met were.
