I've curtailed my visits to clubs...

I've curtailed my visits to clubs in general, and while Silk is the biggest brand in my neck of the woods (I've been to all three), the brand's loss of some luster for me has probably contributed significantly to my curtailment.

This was my first visit to Silk Madison. It's next door to some industrial shop and is kind of out in the middle of nowhere relative to the rest of Madison and downtown, which I suppose probably allows them to take advantage of easier restrictions in Middleton.

While the club's outside isn't all that impressive, the inside gives off a kind of late 60's/early 70's go-go lounge kind of feel. There are big, plastic dots that light up in multiple colors behind the two main poles where dancers do their thing on stage. The ceiling is low and the music is at a tolerable level, arguably a tiny bit too quiet, even. The chairs are comfortable. Unfortunately, most of the tables nearest the stages are listed as "Reserved," requiring a $20 payment to get them, so I ended up near the back bar.
