This club has been closed for...

This club has been closed for a few years. The one time I've been here, it was a weird experience. I was stopped by a guy late evening on Collins ave, who insisted I should check out this club around the corner. I was curious, and said why not. I followed him around the corner to an entrance into a club on Washington Ave, where he introduced me to a door guard and a couple of other guys. The guard promptly stamped my forearm, and the other guys said I have to pay $25 entrance fee. I said I'm not going to pay any fee for a strip club I've never seen, and I'm fine not going at all; the entrance guys "reasoned" that now I have to pay, since they gave me a stamp already. The weirdest part of the whole encounter was that the stamp guy wouldn't let go of my arm, and kept stamping it furiously! I had maybe 20 stamps on my right arm. I started getting mad, wrestled my arm away from him, and turned around and began to walk away, when guys said, fine, go in without a fee. I felt they won't be asking me for money anymore, and I was still curious so I went in. It was a small bar, there were 2 or 3 girls. All spoke Russian. They were nice. They didn't have a stage and didn't dance, the girls just hung around, chatted with customers and gave them lapdances; at least they were not pushy about them. I got one beer, chatted with one of the girls for a while, and left, because their lapdances were far too expensive (they were asking something like $30).

Funny place. I'm not surprised this club closed down. I'll never forget the guy who furiously kept stamping my hand though :)
