Southern X-Posure just reopened after being closed most of the summer for a remodel. The building looks basically the same from the outside with the one notable exception of a new sign. On the inside it has changed quite a bit. You still have to be buzzed in after paying the cover, and it still took a while for someone to get to the booth to take my cover and buzz me in. The bar is now on the left when you walk in, where the old stage used to be and the old bar area is walled off for the lap dance area. The stage is on the far south side of the building in the area that used to be sectioned off, and I think just used for storage. The new stage and furniture are nice, my only real complaint about the building would be they over did the strobe and moving lights a bit, but that is minor. Soda was way over priced at $3 for a small glass with no refills. That put a damper on me sitting there all night. I know that is minor for the amount of money I could drop in a place like this, but I hate feeling like they are just sticking it to me. The girls where good looking, London is still dancing there and it is always nice to see her. The girls didn't seem to be working much though, there was over an hour that no one was dancing even after a couple new customers had came in, and only one of the girls was talking to a customer at the bar, the others were talking to the staff or in the back room. Maybe the expected behavior on a slow night, and they weren't busy, but it was a Friday, it is as busy as I would think that it is going to get. Overall, a nice improvement to the ambiance, but still a underwhelming experience with enough of the feeling that the club is sticking it to you that I won't be repeating soon.
