"Great Beer, Decent Babes, and not a bad chicken sandwich". That is how I would summarize my visit to The Nile last night. I was in Eugene on business and got done rather late. After reading the TUSCL reviews, I decided to try The Nile for dinner.
The other reviews were spot on about the decor. It's a Hollywood inspired ancient Egypt motif that is a welcome change from either the overdone showgirl glitz or the simply dismaying decay too often found in such establishments. There is one long stage with two dance circles/poles at either end (think dumbbell shaped). The girls do three dances, one clothed, one topless, and the final one nude. The bar is close to the stage, so you can sit and talk with the bartender (who is a nice eyeful herself) while watching the slow gyrations of the girls on display.
The girls themselves are okay, mostly 7's, heavier than in many places, but more "healthy" than plump. What I appreciated was that only a few had heavy tatoos. Several had none. The dancing was actual movement instead of simply slouching around, and all of the girls were pretty adept at using the pole.
