It's kind of a dump when...

It's kind of a dump when you look at it. It's in an odd location, in an area that's a mix of car dealerships, some shops, and a neighborhood. It looks pretty bad on the outside, like a rundown dive, and you'd half expect walking in to see a desperate, fifty something year old woman spinning lazily on the pole while some old guys are at the bar gawking.

I had my car in the shop one Saturday evening, and I figured if I'm gonna eat something and watch the game, I'd probably like a pretty (fingers crossed) (naked) lady to look at every now and then. The entrance is in the back facing away from the street, so that's nice. A strip club with discretion is always nice; better than parking in the back and taking that semi-walk of shame to the front. I pass a dancer smoking, talking to a patron and the bouncer. I walked in, and it's small and dark. An odd smell of cologne or aftershave, probably from the bouncer. There's a single stage to the left, with old office-like chairs surrounding the rack, booths around the edges, the bar straight ahead, some tables to the right with a chiffon covered lap dance area.

I head straight to the bar like I always do, so I can nonchalantly scope the place out. There's two other patrons, an old guy making a run to the ATM to withdraw for the VIP half hour dance, and a younger dude eating at a booth. Some dancers are at the bar taking a break, having a drink, grabbing a bite. The place is okay. It has the feel of a dive bar for regulars on their way home from work that just happens to have scantily clad and naked women frolicking about. So far, everything I've heard about this place has turned out to be true.
