Satin Doll has become the strip...

Satin Doll has become the strip club that I gravitate to when I have a free afternoon in Providence. It’s not that I have compared all the clubs in Providence, but Satin Doll is such a comfortable and unpretentious place where I am quite comfortable, and have found no reason to seek an alternative club. To be clear, I go to a strip club for the tease, and I am not particularly interested in the extras that might be provided.

My visits to Satin Doll have been in the afternoon when business was slow. No cover was pleasant. As one enters club the main stage is on the left, and the bar is to the rear. Most of the regulars were at the bar. There is also a small stage with two polls between the main stage and bar. Depending on the afternoon, there were seven to ten dancers on duty. The ratio of customers to dancers was always greater than 1:1 the afternoons I visited. The women were generally in the seven to eight range with an occasional nine and a couple that I rated lower than seven.

Occasionally one of the dancers would come and sit. They were not pushy. As a matter fact one afternoon, I had a very pleasant conversation with a great looking dancer but she never got around to making a pitch for the VIP or a lap dance. I eventually asked her,” where’s your pitch?” And she replied, “Oh, I don’t make a pitch. I figure if you come in here you know what you want and if you want a dance you will ask for it.”

I have sampled the lap dances, and the quality did vary, but it varied between a dance from a gorgeous dancer with too much grind to absolutely marvelous and sensuous dances. The lap dance area was quite clean and private.
