Had spent a couple hours in Hollywood Show club and on my way back to the freeway, I spotted another Miss Kitty's, decidedly more seedy. I like dives and this was definitely a dive, so what the hell. As soon as I entered I knew it was a mistake. Only a handful of people in the place and they all looked totally tweaked out and they all stopped talking and looked straight at me, like a scene from a bad comedy. Bartender approached and I ordered a drink. This place has the reputation that most anything is possible and I mean anything. But I got the distinct impression I was being observed by all and was becoming a little uncomfortable with the vibe. No dancer on stage but soon a rather large, not so young woman with a prominent "crown" tattoo above her left breast and a few gold teeth comes out from the backroom and sat down. She didn't have much to say beyond "hey baby" and before she got a chance I politely excused myself to the restroom, but hung a quick left out the front door. Feeling happy to escape with my wallet and at least some of my self respect intact.
