I live in the Maryland suburbs...

I live in the Maryland suburbs near DC and don’t generally go to the Baltimore clubs. I was in Baltimore on business and staying close to The Goddess so I thought I’d make a return visit. It had been a couple of years since I had been there. The interior didn’t look any different from what I remembered from before. I heard or read somewhere that they were going to start using the second floor. I saw what appeared to be the steps to the second floor but access was blocked off by caution tape. So I don’t know if the second floor is operational and was maybe just closed due to the sparse crowd.

The Goddess is in a converted historic rowhouse, so the inside is long and narrow. It’s not located on “The Block”. It’s closer to the stadiums and I could see where they might do a pretty good business on game days. I was there on a Wednesday night around 10:15. I think at that time the number of dancers equaled or possibly exceeded the number of patrons.

There is booth seating along the outer walls and the a large rectangular bar is in the center of the floor. The stage is within the bar area. The ladies dance a 2 or 3 song set and then do their tip walk across the bar. I’m always amazed in a situation like this that more drinks are not kicked over by the dancers as they walk, or crawl, along the bar. I think the crowd the night I was there was all white. There were two AA dancers. The rest were white. I didn’t notice any Latino customers or Latina dancers.
