I haven't been out to a club for a while so I decided I needed to venture out. I thought about some other clubs but chose Dreamgirls at Rick's since I haven't been there in some time.
I had a pass for free cover (usually $10) so I only paid $10 for the bottomless drink. Upon entering the main room, I was surprised at how dead it was for a Friday night. I wasn't totally empty but it was a Friday!?!? What the heck? Part of the problem it seems is that I don't think that the management of the club has done a good job of attracting talent and then keeping them. Also, they have to find a way to pull the paying customers into the club in the first place. On my way to the club, I noticed the club further up the Lake City Way(closer to the freeway entrance) had a pretty busy parking lot. That was not the case here. It's a bit disappointing because without customers you have unhappy dancers and when you have unhappy dancers you have unhappy customers. I decided to stay for a while and it finally did pick up after midnight. It was still not as busy as it should be with as nice as the club's décor is. I also overheard some of the dancers complaining about not only how slow it was but about how much the club takes of their pay, from the house fee (or back rent) to the required tipping to a portion of each house dance. Not cool as that only drives the good dancers away and ultimately the customers away.
There were some beauties among the girls there that interested me and I paid a visit with slender blond for several dances. I saw her on stage for a couple of dances and thought she was smoking hot and performed on the best stages. Really pretty and the dances in the private lap dance room were decent. Probably will be better after developing a rapport with her. There was a tall brunette who was a solid 9/10 in my book but she seemed distracted. She was really friendly though and I might get some dances from her next time.
