most dancers working were African-American, ranging from tall and lean to overweight to spinners. a few skinny white girls also.

visited the restroom after arriving, disgusting as always. sat at the end of the "viewing bar" to observe the talent. Seems to be picking up lately - the older women are pretty well toned, the younger ones are at least slender. Thursday is $10 dance night.

an AA spinner approached, asked if i wanted company. Told her not really, had just arrived. she stayed for a while, just sitting quietly, checking her phone a few times. after a while she asked if she could come back later and i said yes. in the meantime turned down a few offers from some of the scarier dancers. later she came back, and was a lot friendlier in her sales pitch. spinners are not usually my type - she must have been 5'5" and 85 lbs - but i said yes.
