I had not been to the Mississauga Tavern aka Diamonds' for quite a while, but I remembered it was busy and there were a lot of hot dancers. The girls were mostly Eastern European, money hungry honeys but good looking and entertaining to talk to and look at? What can I say as a review of this visit... I went to the club after work on a Thursday and there was music but no dancer on stage. OK, so she just finished and it was a break song I thought. Then another break song?!?! I already ordered a beer or I would have left for the clubs around the airport. The delay gave my eyes a chance to adjust to the dark and looking around I saw there were only a handful of dancers on the floor and they seemed to be busy chatting with customers. None of them was worth the price of a private dance as far as I was concerned, but maybe the hotties were somewhere out of site entertaining customers I thought. This was the first time I'd ever sat that long in a strip club without getting hit up for a dance at least once, but I was actually thankful since I would not have wanted to pay for what I saw and hate saying no. Finally the DJ introduced the next dancer. To put it politely, neither the dancer nor her performance was worth the wait or the price of a beer. I left as soon as I finished my drink and doubt I will ever return. The airport is an extra 10 minutes from my office but compared to Diamonds the only thing they have in common is the price of the drinks. Diamonds can't compete when it comes to talent, not by a long shot if what I saw represented the usual lineup. The next day I mentioned to a buddy that I had visited Diamonds the day before and was really disapppointed. He used to be a regular there but had moved on when his favourite dancers left. He said that the European and South American dancers who worked at Diamonds the year before hated the management and made no money, so as soon as they could get new work visas they left. With the laws changed the club can not import new dancers now, so it has been going downhill for months. He would know, since he virtually lives in strip clubs. I reduced my rating of Diamonds from an 8 I gave it last year at this time to a 1 now, and that's only because 1 is the lowest number I can select. My experience this time around rated a zero as far as I am concerned.
