I had never stripped before when I auditioned at TNT's for the manager, John. He told me I was hired, and had me fill out the independent contractor paperwork. But when I returned later to start my shift, he told me I was "late" and sent me home -- this, despite having arrived at the time he had indicated.

I came back - way earlier -the day after, and the day after that - but there were different managers on duty, and none of them seemed to know anything about a new dancer starting. "Come back on Tuesday and speak with John," I was told; so I did...at which point, John put his arm around my shoulder and told me, "I'm sorry hun, I can't hire you."

I know it's lame, but I started to cry, because I really needed the job bad; so he strung me along for two more week...supposedly to give him time to convince the "manager" to take me on (yet he *was* the manager). In the end, the answer was the still no, and it really ticked me off, because gas isn't cheap, and TNT's is far out on the northeastern outskirt of the city.
