I stopped in on a Saturday...
I stopped in on a Saturday night which isn't my usual night of choice to visit. The only dancer that put on a half-way decent show was Aspen, but I have had lackluster lappers in the back by her in the past, so I didn't bite. There were a couple of other dancers that may have been worth a try, but I was not in the mood to experiment, and they weren't in any hurry to convince me. I noticed a guy stationed right outside the curtain to keep track of dances on a clipboard. The owner/manager seemed lucid and appeared often around the club. Diamond (short, busty AA) was there, but mostly phoning it in.
Again, oddly, it seemed the best action was stateside as compared to the back room. In the VIP there was an attempt to upsell to the champagne room ($100 for 15 minutes and "nobody would interrupt us"). As vague as that sounded, or as inviting as it seemed, it wasn't enough to get me to bite. The free dance card helps, but the $25/dance depletes your money quickly when there is very little payoff. Topless, just a couple of peeks, some grinding, very little touching and no stick shifting adds up to an overpriced dance. Seems like these girls are used to doing little on Saturday night and still making enough.
If this club doesn't step it up, I will keep driving on I-29 until I find something better. And maybe their business model is to cater to the three pickups that show up most nights and they don't want the traveling guys. When I stop on slow nights with their specials (2for1 Mondays, etc.) they only have 2 or 3 dancers. When I stop on busier nights (Friday and Saturday) they only have 4 or 5 dancers. I used to think about manufacturing a backstory to cover the trip; now I don't think about stopping in unless I'm right by the exit and I will probably just cruise right on by.
