Pulse is the strip club located...

Pulse is the strip club located next to the Jukebox Comedy Club in West Peoria. It is a clean and recently renovated, despite looking like a non-descript warehouse from the outside. Entrance fee on a Saturday night is $5 and drinks are fairly reasonable for a strip club. The dancers usually run a 50/50 mix of black and white. Regarding the girls, looks and customer service vary widely, with some being both hot and great performers and others being ugly and stand-offish. The clientele is mostly white guys (usually with a couple of "girl's night" tables) and the music reflects that. I have never seen the usual strip club bouncer but it has always had a safe vibe. It isn't frat guy wild or "thuggy".

Previously, I have had some good experiences in Pulse (oral treats and lengthy private dance in the VIP area for $150 from a talented and sexy black girl) and the at that time the club had a fun, energetic vibe to it. It was packed with people, had 2 bachelor parties, and there seemed to be a ton of girls working. I was somewhat excited to be heading back there

I went in at 8:30 this Saturday and it was dead. Like 5 customers, all ignoring the stage, either to make conversation or look at their iphones. I am not a big fan of going to strips clubs this early, but i had some time to kill before other plans and I wanted to see if a certain performer would be working tonight (guess who, see above :-). She wasn't, so I grabbed a chair and watched the stage show for about an 45 minutes. There were 5 dancers cycling the stage, all were black and most seemed disinterested. I talked to one of them for a little while and asked her if it was usually this slow. She said "kind of", blamed the economy and then mentioned that it often picked up later.
