Checked this place out on Sunday...

Checked this place out on Sunday afternoon in between my Adelita Bar and Hong Kong Club trips. If I thought AB was effectively dead, then I can't really do justice to describe Las Chavelas. Dead as a dodo. Was asked about drinks as soon as I entered. But on the whole not very pushy waiters.

The only good thing was that I hadn't paid a cover to enter. Not sure when/if they charge one but I didn't pay a cover at any club in TJ. So, because they are all next door to each other and (if) it doesn't cost anything, no harm making a round and checking it out. But I didn't bother checking it out again Monday evening.
