Well, I've been in Atlanta a long time, but this was my first visit to Mardis Gras. I was up on that end of town and hoped that I would see some good looking northside dancers, based on other reviews. Perhaps my expectations were a bit too high.
I did not like the layout of the club. Besides being extremely dark, the strange islands of seats around mirrored "tables and columns" was disconcerting. It felt a bit cramped and dated, and the level of smoke exceeded even Follies.
As mentioned, I was on the hunt for my favorites, the cute, spinner type, and I actually saw 2-3 that would qualify, and were in the 7-8 range. Two of the three were sitting at the bar talking to each other, and what appeared to be a boyfriend or acquaintance - no dances through the nearly two hour they hung out there. The third young lady had a rotation on stage. I approached, tipped her well and went back to sit down. She finished, and made her rounds to say her thank yous. Asked her if she would like to dance, she said, sure, I will be right back. You all know where this is headed. Yep, she ended up with the other two girls, chatting away.
