The Blockist recently visited the venerable Circus for the first time in several months. Not much has changed... same mostly tired and disgusted dancers and Susan at the helm, tryin' to make a buck or two in the midst of the great recession. Of course, the government shutdown has shuttered government offices affecting hundreds of thousands of horny Marylanders - many of them contributors (not the least of which is the Blockist) to the various Block charities such as Support for Unwed Mothers, Druggies Not So Anonymous, Happy Tip Recipients, and (the Blockist's personal favorite) Dancers without Borders. I note that the President visited a sandwich shop near the White House that gives discounts to furloughed Federal workers. Business seems to have slowed a bit on the Block, but as with such times in the past, deals are to be had with the Block's intrepid entrepreneurs.
