I visited this club at the...

I visited this club at the start of a week by myself in CSL, mainly based on reviews on tuscl. The club is a short walk from several of the other SCs downtown. Took taxi to and from during this visit, but learned that I could readily walk from my hotel in less than 15 minutes for 1 or 2 subsequent visits. The fixed (no meter) fare is $10 US each way.

I was disappointed during this first visit, because the club tried to rip me off, but went back a couple of times never-the-less. The lack of a cover charge made that an easy decision.

Here's what happened: After the first round of drinks (including a whisky soda for me), I asked the waiter what the total for those two drinks was. He told me m$100 (pesos) each. We had two more rounds of the same.

When I asked for the quenta, I was floored to hear m$1850. I reminded the waiter that he had told me m$100 ech, and all we had were 6 drinks. Apparently, I misunderstood the waiter originally, since he insisted the dancer's drinks were m$140 each. Mine supposedly were also m$140. So I told him that I expected to pay m$840 in that case. At this point, he said there also was a m$150 cover charge, after which he said that they also paid the taxi driver a tip. This last bit was definitely a lie, since I had told the driver that I wanted to go here. I think I settled for m$900, with no tip for waiter. So I learned my lesson, and paid for each round as it was served during all my other club visits, even though this was inconvenient since the dancer would have to get off my lap while I dug out money.

The dancers were friendly enough, although I did not spring for a private LD. My last visit Sunday night was also a disappointment. There was one dancer just finishing her routine; then no other dancers on stage for at least 25 minutes, since I was the only customer left. There were other dancers around, just chatting with each other. This was around 8 pm. So I left.
