Located in the heart of Washington Park, Illinois, The Hollywood Show Club makes no bones about the fact that it is a scene of sleaze. Cruising in from the parking lot, you are almost blinded by the array of neon lights and and signing at the gate. Some of the signs have been added in recent years, meaning they are probably try to converted some customers from going to Larry Flynt's, which is conveniently located up the street.

Once inside the club, you are greeted by a smoke tinged air seething with some of the shadiest fucking people you've ever seen in your life. Overhead, large flat screen televisions play hardcore pornographic videos on rotation.

With all that being said, there's nothing quite like the "Hollywood" experience. I've been to clubs all over the country, including New Orleans, and there is no doubt this is one of the wildest clubs around. If you're willing to pay, you can get some mileage. Some of the girls are pretty beat; others are downright hot. The only downside is that the club definitely sees large groups come in, and if they're spending money, it can be hard to get the dancers' attention. Make sure you bring enough money for the lap dance ( I think it's still $40). It's definitely worth the trip.
