Last month, during my annual pilgrimage to Indianapolis, I visited Harem House on three different days, all later at night. The cover was $7 each night and the Cokes about $4 (if I remember right on both counts).

The club's relatively small, almost more of a working-class bar. A large stage, sort of barbell/figure-eight shaped, dominates the center of the room, and it has a pole on each circular portion of the stage. Once inside, just to the left of the entrance, the bouncer can be found where he'll collect your cover. All three nights the bouncer seemed amiable and friendly. Directly behind him is the ATM, which is geared for rip-off. (It has a $100 limit per withdrawal plus a $9 fee per withdrawal. Yeah, that's going to add up fast, but it really seems to be the standard for Indy strip clubs, too.) And just on the other side of the ATM is the men's room. While I didn't consider it...un-tidy, it is in some serious need of renovation, including a door for the one and only stall.

The bar is to the left, with a number of small round tables, both tall and short, scattered between it and the stage. More tables can be found at the far end of the stage, between it and the wall. The DJ booth is straight across the club from the entrance. To the right of the entrance is a pool table; just past that is first the VIP room then the lap dance area.
