I went to La Source du Sexe on a Saturday night around 9pm. The strip club is located in what seems like the middle of a strip mall just northwest of Montreal’s airport. The club is located not too far off of the Trans-Canadian Highway, making it easy to get to by automobile. I was greeted by a friendly doorman. There is no cover charge, but it is customary to give the doorman a tip after he seats you. A two dollar coin is a sufficient tip. The interior of the club was nothing special; it may have not been updated since this club opened in 1981. Large paintings of Quebec were on the walls. The center of the room had a stage with two poles. A bottle of beer cost $7.75, which is a bit high, but then again, no cover charge was administered at the door. The waitresses are older ladies but friendly enough. A lot of patrons were ordering food. Food prices were very cheap, an obvious loss leader. For the Americans reading this, you can exchange American dollars for Canadian dollars at the bar at a 1 to 1 rate. This is very reasonable considering the USD is currently worth only a few cents more than the CAD, and currency exchanges usually bang you 5-10% on commission. There are four or five video slot machines in the club if you like to gamble.

About fourteen dancers were working and just about all of them had nice curves. There are no spinners or small-breasted dancers here. There were two black, one Asian, one Egyptian, and the other ten were Quebecois. One dancer would be on stage at a time. She’d strip down to topless for one song, leave the stage for a one song break, then strip down to nude for one song. A one song intermission would follow before the next dancer took the stage. This pattern was in place all night. Some dancers would approach to ask for dances, but some would not. Also worth noting is that some dancers will sit with non-spending guys (regulars or significant others?) for hours at a time.

Dances took place in little compartments in the corner of the club. Privacy was only offered by a curtain. The curtains still allowed silhouettes to show what was happening inside the compartment. I don’t think extras are available here. It also seemed that the bouncer and waitresses would occasionally peek into the booths to make sure nothing illegal was going on. Topless contact dances are $10 a song or $150 an hour. Nude bed dances are $15 a song or $200 an hour and take place in the corner booth, which is the largest booth. The “bed” is nothing more than a pad on the floor. Overall, I think either could be a good value if you find a dancer to your liking.
