Visited a couple of weekends ago...

Visited a couple of weekends ago for the first time in ages. I was in Toronto on business and had a Saturday night to kill. A local recommended For Your Eyes Only over the Upper Brass Rail (which I was told had slipped in quality recently).

I arrived around 8:30pm on a Saturday night and the place was dead. The set up is a bit odd: there is a full length bar that borders the stage (so no perv row !). Dances take place upstairs. Dances are fully nude, each costs $20 and there is a one-time $10 fee to enter the upstairs section. When I arrived there were a pack of dancers at the bar, talking amongst themselves. I was basically left alone for about 15 mins, before I was approached by a very cute Mexican dancer whose resume included a stint at Club Supersex in Montreal. Not being one to swing at the first pitch I took a pass and thought I would regret the decision as I did not find the subsequent talent to be to my liking and the first girl was busy with another patron for a while. About a half hour after I arrived a steady stream of fellow patrons arrived and the club was no longer dead. Trying to be disciplined I was on the verge of leaving until I came across one of the most attractive dancers I have ever encountered. Model quality, jaw-droppingly attractive. I think she had just finished giving some dances upstairs and was relaxing in a seat on the edge of the room. We just struck up a normal, casual conversation and to my amazement discovered she was very intelligent, educated and had a fun personality -- the complete package. After a while, she asked if I wanted a dance, we went upstairs and midway through the first song she was called on stage. She apologized, went on stage for her set and by the time she was finished the club was hopping and there was a bachelor party and line up to get to the upstairs VIP section. I thought I'd probably never see her again, and was going to head out. However, when her set was over she was approached by any number of patrons but sought me out, led me past the line upstairs and gave me some of the best dances I've ever had. No extras, none sought and none offered, just a really good time with a great girl.

My take is that this place is pretty much hit and miss. But for the one dancer I had the good fortune of meeting I would not have rated it highly, and my experience would have been disappointing.
