I had passed by Starlets and a nearby club once while in the area. I decided to take the plunge on a night when I didn't expect to have to pay a cover. I arrived around 1am and there was indeed no cover; there wasn't even anyone in the cashier booth when you come through the entrance. As I turned the corner into the main room, I surveyed the scene and gave a quick walkthrough. The main stage is awkwardly located behind the bar, like an island. There are two poles and it seems 2-3 dancers work the stage simultaneously. The stage isn't small, it's around twenty feet long and maybe eight feet wide. Still, you have to negotiate the space between the bar and the stage when you try to toss money to the dancers. The "private" areas are really just slightly elevated booths and long cushioned couches/seats with high backs. There are a few tables for bottle service as well. The bartenders were not pushy at all, asking me if I needed anything but not bothering me if they saw me sitting without a drink for a long stretch. The music was fine if you don't mind bass-heavy hip-hop mixed in with dubstep and urban pop. The drinks were expensive ($15 for a vodka and cranberry) and fairly weak. I didn't mind too much because as I said, the bartenders were not pushy and there was not a drink minimum or anything.
Now that the physical aspects of the club are out of the way, here's my assessment of the talent. When I arrived there were about a dozen girls working. Most of them were sitting together, talking and drinking, not really ignoring the customers, but not too pressed to engage either. There was a decent range of women working. The dancers were predominately black, but there were several Latina girls, and a couple who looked slightly middle eastern. The body types ranged from slim and petite to overly curvaceous. THere were only a couple of girls who were what I'd call fat. Even they weren't unshapely. They didn't have large guts or anything, but their hips were way past 40-inch territory. Definitely suitable for the clientele as far as I could see. Most of the girls were decent facially without heavy make-up and they weren't overly perfumed. Nothing worse than coming home with eau de stripper on your clothes. There weren't a lot of enhanced physiques either. I did see some implants (most obviously on the DD'ed Latina bartender, but not a complaint), but most of the girls were natural. As I said, most of the girls were talking amongst themselves, but a few did come over to chat. One girl told me that the club didn't really get going until 2 which seemed pretty late to me on a Wednesday, but I did notice a lot more girls coming in as I was getting ready to go around an hour later.
Dances were $20/song as per standard and you could get them at the bar or in the booth area. I chose the booth. The first girl I tried was a naturally busty black girl who said she was from Manhattan. Her dance was fine, with lots of contact and she didn't mind roaming hands. She had on a tube top bikini and never rolled down the top which was odd, but I didn't complain or ask for her to remove it so maybe she would have if pressed a little. I got two dances from her which were slightly interrupted when the music speed and genre changed abruptly (the DJ seemed to be in an experimental mind that night). She was very professional about the whole thing and her personality was very warm. I didn't tip her, but she still gave a very big smile when I paid her afterwards. Overall good experience.
