I was in the area and was frankly put off by reviews of some clubs closer to my hotel, so I took the 45 minute drive over the mountain to check out Blue Moon Cabaret. I'm glad I did - I had a good time!

The club is located just on the outskirts of New Paltz, and the parking lot is reasonably well lighted. I didn't hesitate to park my new pickup truck there.

At the door, I was greeted by a reasonably attractive hostess wearing thigh-high stockings, who told me that the cover charge was $12 and there was a minimum purchase of one drink. After paying for that, I went to the "bar" - they don't serve booze since it's a nude club, so my choices were water (which I got, for $4), Snapple, non-alcoholic beer, and a few other sugary drinks. It's non smoking, so that's good, though there was the distinct aroma of smoke when I walked in the door. Apparently one of the girls smoked somewhere either inside or nearby.
