Christie's is still a quality club,...
Christie's is still a quality club, maybe the best in the area, but things are trending in the wrong direction.
The physical plant is still top-flight, and it's nice (as an out-of-towner) to be able to go clubbing in a safe, upscale neighborhood. Cover is $5, free with out of state ID and a hotel room key. After giving the club high marks in the past for quality and value, I would now consider it OK, not great. Drinks are still fairly priced, and servers are pleasant. Couch dances used to be $10, but now are $20 with $5 to the house. Christie's used to have reasonably-priced food that was very well prepared. Now, the kitchen is closed. Dancers are overall attractive and friendly, but on each of two visits I was pestered for dances by girls who wouldn't have made the cut a year ago. Again, there are plenty of good-looking women, but the presence of drunk, skanky chicks does not exactly scream, "gentlemen's club." Some of the dancers noticed things getting worse. In my view, the management should take note and stop the slide. This is a nice club, but not as good of a club as it was a year ago. Customers will vote with their feet if this keeps up.
