I stopped in on the way...
I stopped in on the way home after a long day of air travel. It has been a while since I've been here, though I used to be a regular a few years ago. First, the club has undergone some significant physical changes--the long, T-shaped stage has been replaced. There is not just a small, crescent shaped stage in the front area of the club. The DJ booth has been moved over to the side wall, and there is also a VIP room next to it in addition to all the other VIP rooms that line the other wall and are located in the back. They also put new carpet in throughout the club. The overall result is an upgraded look and a lot more seating. This is good because the club has gotten more popular in recent years and was getting really crowded during their prime hours. Unfortunately, all the new seating is in the wide-open area, so there aren't any nooks and crannies to get some discreet high mileage floor dances like at Mardi Gras. All in all the changes are a upgrade though. I was tired on this particular night so I didn't stay long, but for the 45 minutes I was there (9-9:45 p.m.) I have to say I was disappointed in the quality of dancers. The last few times I've been here I was very impressed but on this night the girls were lacking. I would definitely come back though--the VIP's here have always been among Atlanta's best, if not the best. No reason to come here for dayshift though, all the talent works at night.
