I stopped by this club on...

I stopped by this club on a rainy afternoon. Only 4 customers were present. I counted 5 dancers although more may have been hanging out in the dressing room. Most of the dancers were OK, probably in the 6-7 range. They did the standard two song set on stage, stripping to a G string. As is typical of the Vu, the songs are cut to a relatively short 2 minutes.

I eventually spotted a dancer who had provided a pretty good private dance in a previous visit. When I say pretty good, think decent two way contact but nothing outstanding (at least nothing close to Detroit standards). I invited her for a VIP dance with expectation of similar service. I was disappointed. She essentially provided an air dance with some grinding but virtually no two way contact. I asked her why her rules had changed so drastically from my previous dances and she reported that corporate office had reviewed videos of the lap dances and decided that some of the dancers were getting a bit too "friendly" with two way contact. Mind you that extras were not occurring in this club, at least not to my knowledge, so corporate must have a pretty strict limit on what is allowed to occur during a lap dance. Anyhow, several dancers were fired or suspended for violating corporate limits on lap and private dances. I feel bad for the dancers as these stricter rules will surely cut into the earning potential of the dancers who used to provide a decent private dance experience.

So it looks like the Kzoo Vu is back to the "dark ages" and will be restricting its private dances to air dances plus a little grinding. The club still has decent talent but if you're in the Kalamazoo area and looking for a decent strip club, I would strongly recommend Angels over the Vu. At least Angels serves alcohol and has a better talent line up than the Vu. Also, with the recent enforcement of strict lap dance rules at the Vu, the Angels dancers are now providing a much better lap dance experience (nothing illegal) than those at the Vu.
