My last visit to the Million...
My last visit to the Million Dollar left me disappointed, so I figured I would try and even things out with a visit to Cafe Atlantis on Wednesday afternoon. I had never been, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I noticed right away the open concept with the large stage in front surrounded by tables. It wasn't nearly as dark as other places in the area, but it was busier than the others, with maybe 15-20 guys watching the show. I ordered my 7.05 beer and sat down. The show on stage was not really to my liking. The blonde dancer had a bigger belly than I prefer, so I spent my time watching the other women wandering around the club. A blonde with a European accent came up to me, and I was about ready for a dance, so after a short chat, we went upstairs to the VIP. There were a whole line of booths along one wall that had pretty run down couches and were surrounded by mirrors from all angles. Unfortunately, the last remaining booth smelled strongly (of "feet", as she noted, but I suspect it was something else). We moved over to some couches along the side. We chatted some more, and when one of the mirror booths opened up, we went back over there. The dance was pretty standard, but I was pleasantly surprised that I wasn't bombarded with offers for extras - I noted this to her and she said that she didn't do that, but a lot of girls in the place did. Since I was only there for a brief visit, I left after our dances. The jury is out on whether or not I would go back.
