OK, after about 16 months, I went back, and boy has my opinion changed!

Dances usually range from 2 for 25 to 2 for 30, but an occasional dancer will charge 20 or 25 per dance with no volume discounts. Then again, 2 for 20 can also be had, too. So, you definitely need to check with the dancer before the dance (and the meter) starts. They also have a couch private dance which is $150 for half hr and $250 for an hr. There is also a champagne room for $250 / half hr. But from what I’ve heard, even these prices vary. The private couch dance is upstairs and in the open, but there’s essentially no traffic there. The main issue is that the couch is very deep, so that the guy is almost prone. I found it uncomfortable, and dancers have said the same for them.

Per the dancers, the club monthly pays the smoking fine. Thus, you will find people lighting up cigarettes and cigars. They were building a smoking room to enter the latter half of the 20th Century, but apparently they decided to stay in the dark – and smoky – ages. Still, it’s not as smoky as it used to be.
