I visited on Labor Day. After driving an hour to get there (because Columbus clubs have gotten too expensive and puritanical), I found, despite the hours posted on the sign, was closed without any announcement on their fancy sign or other form of explanation. I brought up the list of Dayton clubs on TUSCL and made another choice. Katie's Place was 4.1 miles away. As I passed, I noticed this club that appeared to be open, but on previous visits had shown some occasional signs of life, but was never actually open.
After arriving at Katie's Place, to find it deserted, (as it was a holiday, I won't publish a report showing that it's permanently closed), it was time for a third selection. (It might be considered my 4th choice, as Flamingo's was my bar of choice until it was closed down) I decided to go back to The Mystery Bar (no name on the sign, but the lights on the building and the OPEN sign were lit and there were cars in the parking lot. Dream Divas has been open for about a week and a lot of the connoisseurs of the female form have probably not rediscovered it yet.
After closing, I had the opportunity to talk with the manager. I overheard him telling a bunch of other guys about the finishing work that is to be completed over the next week or so. Once his punch list is complete, it sounds like it will be one of the nicest clubs in Dayton. They have a sister club in Columbus that I know to be very nice.
