I had a couple hours to...

I had a couple hours to kill before my flight and I hadn't been to Dancers since 2008, so, considering the club's 10-15 minutes from the airport a visit seemed like a good idea. I'm really wishing I had gone elsewhere.

It's been five years since my last visit (which ended really badly, given the "spoiled rotten princess" attitude of that particular dancer). I remember it was pretty upscale back then, and, after their renovations, it still is. It's a fair-sized club, clean and well kept, though I don't remember the wall murals of women in various stages of dress (or un-dress, depending on your philosophical bent). I never visited the VIP back then, but I do seem to remember lap dances happening around a large aquarium. The lap dance booths today are a lot roomier and a lot more comfortable than those from a few years back.

The dayshift cover was minimal -- $3. The server, an attractive blonde woman, was also prompt, professional, and friendly. If I remember right, the Coke was maybe $4. There were three circular, relatively small stages, but only one was in use. A couple of dancers were circulating around, not that they had a lot of pickings with only the three or four customers, including myself. For the most part, if a dancer hadn't landed a suit to keep company, once she did her stint on the stage, she would disappear to the back. A couple of them hung out around the bar, chatting, texting, what have you. A drop-dead gorgeous brunette -- Mariah -- hung out around the bar quite a bit; she'd do her three songs on stage, then settle in at the bar with her cell phone.
