I haven't been to Rick's in...
I haven't been to Rick's in months, possibly a year or more, but I stopped by when I had time after work today. In general, the place hasn't changed at all. The layout and interiors are still the same, with those low armchairs that seem to be in every strip club. There was a new roped off section with benches that I didn't remember, to the right of the main room entrance. There wasn't any cover since I got there before 7, and drinks were "only" $8 until 8. Keep in mind that it's that price no matter what the drink, even for a soda. So you might as well get a cocktail. You do have to check any bags you have though, and the coat check girls work for tips. There was also already a restroom attendant at 6:30, which was a little much.
There is a tiny round stage near the bar, and a bigger stage back by the mezzanine level. I've never been upstairs, but I think it's dining tables. They serve lunch and dinner there, and Wednesday is Surf n' Turf night. Probably not worth the $49, but it's an option. The dancers are mostly taller and skinny. Not necessarily my thing, but they were almost all quite good looking. Way less silicon than I remember, which is nice.
I stayed at the bar most of the time, and one girl did come up to talk to me. I was pleasantly surprised that she never asked for me to buy her a drink, and we chatted for a while before I got a lap dance. All the normal lap dances happen just in the general seating, and they're still $20. The girl wasn't really my type, but she gave an amazing dance. Not a lot of touching, but she didn't mind hands on her hips with some generous slips here and there. The rest of the club seemed busy enough. The girls were hustling, but they had a lot of customers to go around to, so it wasn't too bad.
